Three hundred years ago, a great musician walked into one of Leipzig's most famous cafes, the Café Zimmermann, and began his tradition of performing with his student orchestra in cafés. He is known as Johann Sebastian Bach, the "Father of Western Music". The concerts were held in the Zimmermann Gardens on Wednesdays from 4 to 6 p.m. in the summer and on Fridays from 8 to 10 p.m. in the café in the winter.
Three hundred years later, we are once again in the Zimmermann Café, and a concert of Bach's harpsichord works is about to take place!
