Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Central Conservatory of Music, member of the Communist Party of China.
Born in 1963, native of Rizhao, Shandong Province, Miao Jianhua graduated with a Bachelor Degree from the Music Department of Henan Normal University in 1986, and graduated with a Master Degree from the Musicology Department of China Conservatory of Music in 1991. In 2002, she graduated with a Doctor Degree from the Musicology Department of Central Conservatory of Muisic. She served as the Deputy Dean of the Modern Distance Music Education College of CCOM and the Minister of the Organization Department of CCOM Party Committee.
She is mainly engaged in the research on the history of Chinese music aesthetics and the music history of ancient China. She published books, including Study on Qin Aesthetics, Preliminary Study on Chinese Music (as a co-author), etc., and academic theses, including "A Study on the Edition Age of Chen Yang's Yue Shu/Music Book," "The Thoughts of Confucianism, Taoism, and Buddhism in Qin Aesthetics," "Zen Spirit in Qin Poems," "A Preliminary Study on the Thoughts of Buddhist Music Esthetics of Su Shi," etc.
Ms. Miao has been awarded prizes, such as the Second Prize of the Forth Literary Criticism sponsored by Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles (Theory Group), the Excellent Award of the Ninth Golden Bell Awards on Music Theory Criticism, the First Prize of the Seventh Teaching Achievements of Higher Education in Beijing (collective), and the Second Prize of 2014 National Teaching Achievements of Higher Education (collective).
