Amber Quartet of CCOM Win the Grand Prize and Other Two Prizes at the Asia-Pacific Chamber Music Competition

Once every four years the prestigious Asia-Pacific Chamber Music Competition attracts the finest young classical ensembles from the region to compete for coveted prizes and concert engagements. Co-presented by Chamber Music Australia and Melbourne Recital Centre from 8-14 July 2013, the 2013 Asia-Pacific Chamber Music Competition is internationally regarded as a launching pad to a performing career on the world stage. String quartets and piano trios from Australia, China, Japan and Singapore will compete in public recitals at the ABC's Iwaki Auditorium and the finals will be held at Elisabeth Murdoch Hall Melbourne Recital Centre on July 14. Lovers of chamber music who are unable to attend the concerts can tune in to the week-long live broadcast on ABC Classic FM.
