Composition Students of CCOM Win Prizes in the 15th Don vincenzo Vitti International Composition Competition in Italy

On December 11, 2016, the 15th Don Vincenzo Vitti International Composition Competition was held by the Associazione Amici della Musica with the support of a number of music conservatories in Italy. In the Competition, the composition students of Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing won several prizes, including:

The string quartet Tower of Babel, composed by Li Shiyuan who is a senior composition student of CCOM, won the First Prize of Chamber Music Group. Her advisor is Professor Qin Wenchen.

Asymptotic Freedom, composed by He Mingwei who is a second-year composition student of CCOM, won the Thrid Prize of Chamber Music Group. His advisor is Professor Ye Xiaogang.

The piano solo piece The Warble Ravine, composed by Hu Zhixuan who is a senior composition student of CCOM, won the Second Prize of Solo Composition Group. Her another composition for violin and cello Sea Color won the Third Prize of Chamber Music Group. Her advisor is Professor Ye Xiaogang.
