Distance Music Learning Program

College of Modern Distance Music Education affiliated to CCOM was established on December 21st, 1999. It was appointed as one of the experimental institutions on distance education among universities and conservatories by the Ministry of Education on February 22nd, 2002, which is also the only experimental institution among all the art conservatories. The present Dean of the college is Professor Yuan Jingfang.

College of Modern Distance Music Education focuses on the continuing learning program for on job staff. The majors offered by the college include musicology, music education, art management, piano tuning, etc. The programs include Associate degree program upgraded from high school curriculum and Bachelor degree program upgraded from high school curriculum and junior college curriculum. The branch school of Distance Education College offered Master student courses for further studies, Master degree program in musicology major. The College started to enroll the students in 2002 and has over 4000 students currently.

College of Modern Distance Music Education aims at serving the society and cultivating music talents. The college shares the educational resources with CCOM and other conservatories, builds up internet system for distance music education, and develops music education with multiple types and levels through internet. The purpose is to promote the construction of lifelong and multiple music education in China. The College of Modern Distance Music Education affiliated to CCOM has made and will make more positive and creative contributions in the national music education.
